Daniel Gibbings-Johns
The influence of art on Daniel began at a very early age. He spent many hours with his father, Ron Gibbings-Johns - renowned still-life artist, as a child. It wasn't until he was 23 though that he came to find a true passion for it.
Daniel's early training came out of his father's studio. Adding to his maturity as an artist, Daniel had the rare opportunity to study with master painter Leonid Vasin, a well known international artist whose works show the influence of the Heidelberg Style.
Plein Air Painting is the area of painting Daniel has excelled most in. He finds the professional stimulation of various artists while participating in this field very enjoyable and feels it is a great way to improve his skills.
The works of Daniel continue to improve and impress many professional artists and collectors, having works in private collections both nationally and internationally.
In April 2012 his success was recognised when he won "First Prize" at the Flagstaff Hill Rotary Art Show. |
