Six Of The Best by Linda Weil

ARTIST NOTES: The large anchors found on the bow of a ship are called 'Best Bowers'. Last year I took a ferry tour through Melbourne Docklands area and was fascinated by all the different colours and types of bowers found on the big freighters. Here are six of the best!

Artist Statement: ‘Drawing, for me, is a constant joy and passion – I love to draw. A simple line can express so much. When I draw, I get engrossed in detail and subject matter. I love allowing a drawing to break out of its’ boundaries and create drawings within drawings – big concepts within small areas – encouraging the viewer see past the obvious and notice the hidden thought.
